Lynch Limited undertook the careful clearance and removal of surface Japanese knotweed. As the excavation was dug, the walls of the excavation and spoil were inspected for rhizomes. The excavation was back-filled with clean as dug materials and compacted in 300mm layers. All of the works were undertaken in close conjunction with the client’s consultant to enable works to be completed with minimum disruption to the client and local residents. A triple coated, polyethylene vertical root barrier was installed along the excavated areas to a depth of 1.5m to prevent potential future regrowth and to avoid the possibility of cross boundary infestation. All treated soils were back-filled and leveled to the clients’ satisfaction to ensure minimal disruption to the planned build timetable. CLIENTNATIONAL RETAIL COMPANY
